NASA Satellite Data Sets Record on How Much Ice the Arctic Is Losing

NASA has analyzed satellite data and determined the maximum ice coverage of the Arctic is the lowest since 1979 — they've also found the Arctic is losing its perennial ice. The Arctic has lost nearly one million square kilometers of ice coverage since 1979, but hundreds of countries who signed onto the recent Paris Agreement and the Montreal Protocol amendment are trying to keep further temperature increases to a minimum.
