We May Finally Get a Picture of a Black Hole

Scientists have announced that the Event Horizon Telescope will be operable in April, and its first target will be Sagittarius A*, a black hole located 26,000 light-years from Earth. If the telescope works as expected, it will produce our first-ever photographic evidence of black holes, which have long been theorized but never viewed.
